It seemed interesting branch to me, that's why I chose it. Difficulty level is easy to moderate.
Placements are Great at DTU. It has 24lpa average package for Computer Science Engineering branch , and lowest is around 10lpa for Biotech Engineering. Approximately 70-80% students get placed each year with Highest package of 1cr+ every year. This year, due to recession, it was approximately 82lpa. There were 2125 offers out of which 1700 students were placed out of 2500 students.

Read Full ReviewThe curriculum covers all fundamental topics which are crucial for a solid foundation in this course for eg; Analog and Digital electronics, communication systems, Signal Processing, etc. The curriculum integrates lab sessions and projects which may help in applying theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. Internship and Projects prepares us for the job market by providing exposure to real-world problems. Exams are held two times a semester, 1st is mid-semester and 2nd is the end sems. you get a lot of time for prep as they are held 1.5-2 months in between. Difficulty level is moderate. You can prepare 1-2 weeks before the exam.
The overall teaching is good. some faculty are very qualified and experienced and they will help you in every possible way. Their teaching is also very good and they try to make everyone understand the topic. but some are simply pathetic. I can say from my first-year experience that they will humiliate you for no reason. One of my teachers knows absolutely nothing, I still wonder how she became a teacher. No one will help you here, you have to prepare for your placement on your own. So in short profs are shit, they are arrogant, and they are here just for their duty.
Read Full Reviewthe course curriculum is quite good. they cover all aspects of computer science. this covers all imp topics needed for placement . teaching methods are not that good as some faculty are not good at all. there are two exams each sem, i.e. mid sem and end sem with a 1.5-month gap. difficulty of the exam is not that hard.
don't choose DTU if you want a good teaching faculty. some faculties just come and read their notes. they are here to do their jobs. but some are very good, talented and helpful. they will help you in every possible way. they focus on the whole class and teach concepts to every student.

Bank of AmericaDTU BBA program is fairly new. If you have other options, go for them instead. DTU East campus offers the BBA program and the department was established recently. It is good in terms of academics. The faculties are highly qualified and cooperative. According to the recent highlights of DTU BBA placements, almost 70% of the students get placed each year. The average CTC received by the students is INR 4 LPA.
Being a new campus it is working on offering exposure and great experience to students.
Among these NSIT is better in terms of placements. DTU placements are good as well. But due to a lower batch size, the competition is lower at NSIT. Here are the highlights of NSIT placements 2022.
| Parameters | Statistics |
| Placement rate | 73% |
| Median CTC | INR 13 LPA |
| Students placed | 632 |
The recruiting companies are similar for NSIT and DTU. NIT Delhi ranks lower than these institutes in terms of placements.
DTU Software Engineering is a better option. It offers better academics, placements, and a well-developed alumni network. According to the recent highlights of DTU placements, Software Engineering students get placed in reputed companies such as Microsoft, Google, Goldman Sachs, etc. The average package received by the students of this branch is around INR 11 LPA.
DTU has an urban culture, which will help your overall personality development.
You should choose NIT Trichy, given a choice. DTU, and NIT Trichy both are quite popular. But the NIT tag will offer you better opportunities. NIT Trichy is constantly ranked among top NITs and offers academics at a similar level to most IITs. The institute also has a good placement record. NIT Trichy placements usually have an average CTC of INR 6.5 LPA. Here is an overview of the institute
Overall, NIT Trichy is a better choice than DTU
I don’t think anyone choosing IIT Delhi over any other engineering college has made a wrong decision given the opportunities and life experiences that come with it. While both are crucial, your choice of Institute is more important than your branch.
Here is a friend's journey for your reference l was a BTech student (Civil) at IIT BHU with a rank of 3600.
This journey of a 7-pointer Civil Branch student to a high-tech CS company proves that branch does not matter in the end. He made the most of his campus life and kept struggling to switch his branch and eventually succeeded. That being said, you have made the right decision as only IIT Delhi can give you the right set of opportunities and exposure and not DTU.
BITS Goa is better than DTU and NSIT. Since the introduction of the home state quota, the quality of the student crowd has drooped down at these institutes. Due to the no reservation rule, BITS has a better peer group. Top NITs such as NIT T, NIT W, and NIT K are comparably better than BITS, but the difference margin is decreasing.
BITS Goa placements have been good, even during COVID. During 2021 placement drive, the average CTC offered was INR 16 LPA. While the highest CTC offered was INR 43.3 LPA. Some of the major recruiters that take part in the placement drive are Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Flipkart, etc.
If you are interested in programming then IIIT Allahabad is a better option. It has an excellent coding culture. IIIT A follows a well-structured course curriculum. The first-year syllabus covers advanced topics such as Discrete Mathematics, Computer Organization & Architecture, and Data Structure & Algorithms, etc. IIIT Allahabad Computer Science department has a superior faculty base compared to DTU. The institute has a thriving research culture in the field of Computer Science.
IIIT Allahabad placements have been great over the years. According to the placement highlights of 2022, the average CTC offered was INR 30 LPA.
You should consider DTU or NSIT CSE. Both are good options and almost at par with each other. DTU and NSIT have great coding cultures and good placement records for the CSE branch. DTU CSE average package is around INR 10-15 LPA. While for NSIT CSE, the average package is around INR 12-15 LPA.
Delhi houses many industries. So, it’s easier for students to get good placements and internship opportunities. You can also prepare for competitive examinations such as CAT, GRE, GMAT, etc. Delhi has many good coaching institutes.
You should choose DTU Civil. It offers better placement and exposure. DTU is among the leading technological institute in the country with a legacy of 50+ years. You can learn to code, irrespective of your branch. If you have decent coding skills, you can easily get decent job opportunities in the IT sector through campus placements. Your branch will not be an obstacle. DTU placements 2022 had witnessed the highest CTC of INR 1.2 Crore per annum.
