Only people with a high percentile (above 90) could get into this college as this college is one of the most reputed colleges in the whole of Tamilnadu. The admission process is simple and can be done in a single day. The frequency of exams is average and tolerable.
Course curriculum is better. The current course curriculum connects both the basics and modern technology advancements in a better way. CAT Exams happen once a month and study leave for each exam might span from 1 to 10 days based on scheduling.
Government based internships and upskilling programmes are provided with good stipend. Other companies which come for placement also provides internships with good stipend. A mini project is done in 3rd year, which is a small demo for the final year project.
Students are eligible for placement from the end of 6th semester. Reputed companies like Walmart, D E Shaw, ZoHo and many other companies provide many offers. Most of the students will get placed in companies. My plan is to pursue higher studies.
Tuition fees stays the same as this is a government college. Complete cost of my education is under 40000. Scholarships are available for everybody through both Government and alumni scholarships. I am one of the placement representatives for the current academic year.
Technical festivals are conducted by the respective departments and happens in both semesters. Library with vast collection of books in all genres is available. All classrooms are equipped with projectors and smartboards to facilitate PPT presentations. College is equipped with large ground to support many sports like cricket, football, etc. There are student-run clubs like MuFX, SJC, LDS which supports the musical talent, writing talent and Photography talent of students.
Only empty room with cots are provided. No other facitities. Meal quality is quite good and menu is fixed on a weekly basis. Registration process for hostel is simplecand easy and can be done in one day and is affordable to all. There are a lot of PG and rooms nearby outside hostels.
Faculties are much more qualified and the faculty to student ratio is high in this college. Their approach to teaching and mentorship is very good to say the least. Approachability of faculty is much more good compared to other private colleges.

Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information rather than the information itself. I wouldn’t eliminate content, without background we cannot form good, rational, and educated conclusions. We are still giving timed tests in math facts! I know that’s traditional, but it just isn’t as important. My era had no calculators and we needed to be proficient at paper and pencil solutions, but now, perfect calculations are available to everyone. We should focus on what kinds of problems can be solved with mathematics. Spelling is equally less important. Vocabulary should be stressed. some time placements are from 3rd year and it could be at 4th year as i'm still 2nd year at present i have no much idea about it but you'll get internship offers and other offers and based on your resume you'll get job based on you performance and the percentage of placements of students is 95. and no of companies are arounf 115 to 120 companies and the average package is 2.5 lakhs
Amrita is always good at placements. The reason for me joining this college is placements. But they are also declining gradually. But for now there is no issue with placements in amrita university. for cse related branches placements are really good.
The electric part of the course encouraged me to take up this course and I was very interested in circuits and electronic devices since I was a kid. Even the importance of ECE student in the market motivated me to take up this course
