The BA in Geography program at the University at Albany has a strong international focus. Courses cover existing and emerging social, economic, political, and environmental issues in Asia, Latin America, Africa, and Europe.
Students will learn how geology, natural resources, weather, waterways, and ecosystems have impacted and been impacted by human settlement and urbanization, agriculture, immigration, mass transportation, man-made disasters, and global cultures and economies.
The program provides an understanding of the complex spatial relationships, interactions, and processes within the cultural and natural environments of the Earth’s surface.
The student will have an understanding of geography’s distinctive disciplinary perspectives including concepts of place, location, region, and environment, along with exposure to the varied theoretical worlds of contemporary geography.

Academic Eligibility:

Students must have a minimum of 120 credits and at least 90 credits in the liberal arts and sciences
Students must achieve and maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
The students should have completed the General Education Program at the University at Albany
Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.

Indian Students Eligibility:

Students should submit required official and complete individual mark skeets for each examination attempt, including subsidiary exams.
Photocopies of student's mark sheets are accepted only when they are attested by the University Registrar or Controller of Examinations and placed in a sealed, stamped envelope that is sent directly to the Graduate School.

Original Marks Sheet or Provisional certificates.
Evidence of sufficient funds in the bank account to ensure you can survive the duration of course in the USA.
Score sheet of standardized exams like IELTS (6.0 or equivalent), TOEFL, GMAT, GRE, etc.
Proof that the candidate will leave the country once the program is completed. A return air ticket to the home country can be evidence of this kind.
