In my case I got 99.72% in my MHT-CET entrance exam but as I was in TFWS category the cutoff went even higher So in my case I got cse branch in my CAP-III round If I did not had tfws category it would be more easy to get cse
The course is okay not that up to date or updated according to industry standards. The college curriculum can be changed to make students more ready for industry. Even the course is not up-to-date students manage to get industry level skills by the course of college
The college is know for its placements and intership opportunities The college provides with plentiful of opportunities with dream and superdream offers You can even get pre placement offers from internships
The fees structure depends on the category you belong to considering my category where I belong to TFWS I had fees of 20897 , Different categories have different fees structure, Like sc/st has somewhat fees of 5000 while general has fees of 99000
The college has lesser college life with not such great extra curricular activities The college has very limited non-academic activities where students have to manage in the that limited activities itself
The professor and all the faculty members are well qualified with very helpful nature and always ready to co-operate with the students The faculty even provides with inhouse college projects which find very useful in long run
Mostly from the 3rd year the placement starts Also internships are offered from the second year onwards From first semester of 4th year placement are starts many of the students are placed through the campus placements
From 3rd year our internships get started And from 3rd we get eligible for the placements Companies come for the placements for starting till the end of the semester For 4th year most of the students get placements
The placements here at IIT Bombay are very very good. If a student has really done good or just put some efforts on skill development, he definitely gets placed and in a very good amount. A large number of companies visit for placements like Tata, L&T, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Uber, SONY, Samsung, Mahindra, Reliance, Qualcomm, Bajaj, Jaguar, Loreal, JSW, Hitachi, Mercedes, Havells,P&G, ITC, HUL, ONGC, HP, BYJUS, etc. This year around 1753 offers were made, out of which 1438 were accepted by the students in phase-1. All the information is available on IITB website. The highest package was around INR 4.23 CPA (in quant sector) and an average package of around INR 21.26 LPA. Around 82.1% of students were placed this year. Some students didn't sit for placements because they want to study further in foreign universities, or doing MBA further, or UPSC, etc.
The placamets is good . Multiple MLM companies visit campus like Microsoft , Amazon , Flipkart , Some other comapies like TCS and many more copmanies visit colllege , The placament rate is aournd 70-80% , The heighest package is by Microsoft that is 54 lakh. A medium package of around 4.8 lakhs If you cannt get placement you can try offcampus or try upskilling yourself or you can opt for higher studies which helps you in your curriculum.
From 6 semester we are eligible to apply for internships then only college placements will start and we have specially programs for placements so there are no lack of placements and there many students who are getting placed so they are at their best
The placements of this college is average the average package is around 4-5 lpa. There are only students get 30-40-50 lpa package which are best in all things If you are brilliant in academics or other things you can get it. Percentage of students to placed is around 70%
There is not much placements in campus nor the top companies visit ther to get placements most of the students have to apply offline but teachers there support us even after we pass out from the college
